Today, we are excited to share that Snowflake has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Natoma.
This is a pivotal moment for our company, our team, our customers, and the broader enterprise AI ecosystem. We started Natoma in 2024 with a simple belief: AI agents would fundamentally change how work gets done inside enterprises, but they would only reach production if organizations could trust and control how those agents access data, use tools, and take action.
Later that year, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standardized how LLM models interact with data, but this only exacerbated the need for secure access and control over how AI agents interact with enterprise data.
With Natoma's Enterprise MCP platform, customers can securely connect AI agents to any enterprise application and data source — giving enterprises complete visibility and governance over AI activity.
The hardest problem in enterprise AI is no longer intelligence.
